Some Notes on Alice Music from Jayn

Friday, September 18th, 2009

Rob Thomas, “Someday”: He stopped tweeting long enough to release a new single! And we’re all the better for it… and, as if this one weren’t emotional enough on its own, now it’s being used as the theme for TV’s inspirational “The Biggest Loser” spots. We might never stop crying. [ARTIST PAGE]

Staind, “All I Want”: Yes they rawk, but their ballads are great too - and the more you know about the dudes themselves, the more you love them: Their latest tour (elegantly titled “Stimulate This!”) featured discount prices, and made stops in American towns and cities hit hardest by the economy. [ARTIST PAGE]

Dashboard Confessional, “Belle of the Boulevard”: Chris Carrabba’s troupe is back with this gorgeous first single from the upcoming CD, “Alter the Ending.” See it live at Now & Zen September 27th, but if you’re standing anywhere near me don’t expect to hear his voice over my singing/screaming. Green River Ordinance, “Come On”: Five cute guys from Fort Worth who write damn-near perfect pop songs.  [ARTIST PAGE] Watch their video below, I dare you:
